Operators for fields 1 and 2

• No operator: the search engine will return documents that match all the terms entered in your search query.

• Stem search: the search engine will look not only for the search terms you entered but also for their variations (e.g. sentence, sentences, sentenced). You can disable this feature by placing your terms within round brackets preceded by the EXACT operator like for example EXACT(sentencing).

• Phrase search: use quotes to form a phrase like for instance "duty of care".

• Boolean search: you can use the AND, OR and NOT operators between your search terms.

• Proximity search: you can use proximity operators between your search terms in order to return documents containing terms that are placed:

  • In the same paragraph: /p
  • In the same sentence: /s
  • Within n words of each other: /n
